How to buy cannabis legally in Thailand
As of 2026, cannabis flower is a controlled herb under Thai law. It is dispensed only against a practitioner's prescription. Here is the whole process.

Consult a licensed Thai practitioner
Get an assessment from a doctor, Thai traditional medicine practitioner, or another licensed practitioner to determine whether medical cannabis is suitable for you. Clinics across Bangkok offer same-day consultations.
Staff at either branch can point you to partner clinics nearby. Just ask, or read the PT33 prescription guide.

Receive your prescription (form PT33)
If the practitioner considers it appropriate, they issue a prescription on form PT33 stating the quantity and duration of use. A prescription covers up to 30 days of use.

Visit a branch in person
Bring your prescription and your ID card or passport. The on-site practitioner at that branch dispenses the product per your prescription, records the dispensing as required by law, and walks you through safe use.

Age 20 and over only
No sales to anyone under 20, to pregnant women, or to breastfeeding women. Both branches check ID or passport every time.
Prescription required
Since 2025, flower is dispensed only against a PT33 prescription from a licensed Thai practitioner.
In person only
Online ordering and delivery are prohibited by law. Every purchase happens in person, at the branch you visit.
Use responsibly, keep it in Thailand
No smoking in public places, and never take cannabis across borders when you leave. Both carry real penalties.
Services at both Bangkok branches
Everything happens in person at the branch you visit, guided by a licensed practitioner, and both branches work the same way. No webshop, no menu online. That is what the law requires, and it is what keeps a visit safe.

Practitioner consultation
Advice on safe use, sensible dosing, precautions, and staying within the law. In English and Thai, at no charge, during opening hours. This is not a prescription consultation: a PT33 is issued by a practitioner at a clinic, not here.
Licensed herbal and CBD products

Thai law sets three conditions for dispensing cannabis flower. Please check all three before you set off, so the trip is not wasted.
- A prescription on form PT33 from a licensed Thai practitioner
- Your passport or ID card
- Age 20 or over
